Stanford International Bank offers three account types (Performancesm, Premiumsm and Expresssm) and three certificates of deposit (FixedCDsm, FlexCDsm, Index-Linked CDsm), all of which are designed to preserve wealth and produce income.
Accounts
The Performance Accountsm may be opened with a minimum deposit in most international currencies. It features an adjustable rate of return with easy access to funds. The Premium Accountsm offers interest yields based on the performance of pre-selected Treasury bills and notes. The Express Accountsm is a supplementary account and pays market-rate interest on balances of US$5,000 or more and 0.25 per cent on balances under US$5,000.
Certificates of Deposit
The FixedCDsm may be opened with most international currencies. If interest rates go up during the term, clients with eligible balances will receive the higher rate. If rates should fall, the client's original rate established when purchased remains in effect until maturity.
The FlexCDsm offers the same rate benefits as the FixedCDsm, with additional flexibility. Additional deposits of $2,500 or more may be added at any time and will accrue interest at the same rate as the initial deposit. Up to 25 per cent of the principal may be withdrawn with five days' notice.
The Index-Linked CDsm provides a secure way for you to participate in the growth potential of certain equity markets by linking the returns to the performance of a specified index.
While the FixedCDsm and FlexCDsm offer incremental terms from 3 months to 5 years with interest compounded daily and automatic rollover, the Index-Linked CDsm is available in 3-, 4- or 5-year terms only.
