Antigua and Barbuda National Cricket Team

The Bank proudly sponsored the national cricket team of Antigua and Barbuda for the United Kingdom segment of its UK-Holland 6 August-10 September tour 2005. Cricket is extremely important in Antigua and Barbuda, where cricketers have a strong reputation worldwide. The Antiguans played a number of matches against first-class teams from around England, visited the famous Lord's Test ground and the Brit Oval, and witnessed the current Ashes Test series between England and Australia. A first-class test match against the Bangladesh Test team in England was the highlight of the tour.
